SAP BW Consultant

Scope of Work and Skills:

• Design, develop, and implement SAP BW data models, queries, and ETL flows to support business intelligence and reporting requirements.
• Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze data sources, and translate into effective BI solutions.
• Build InfoObjects, DataSources, InfoProviders (DSO, InfoCubes, CompositeProviders, ADSOs), and MultiProviders.
• Implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from SAP and non-SAP sources.
• Develop BEx Queries and integrate with SAP BO / SAC as needed.
• Collaborate with SAP functional teams (FI, SD, MM, PP, etc.) to understand reporting needs.
• Optimize BW data models and queries for performance and scalability.
• Support system upgrades, patches, and migrations (e.g., from SAP BW to BW/4HANA).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and test environments.
• Provide user training, documentation, and support for BI reporting tools.
• Lead and execute SAP BW development and support activities including data modeling, extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Design and build scalable data models (InfoProviders, InfoObjects, DSO, Cubes, CompositeProviders).
• Experience on CDS
• Work with various data sources (SAP ECC, S/4HANA, Flat Files, and Non-SAP systems) for data extraction using SAP tools like ODP, BEx, CDS views, and ABAP.
• Optimize query performance and perform troubleshooting for reporting issues.
• Collaborate with business analysts and end-users to gather reporting requirements and design appropriate solutions.
• Maintain and enhance existing BW systems and reports.
• Develop and manage transport requests, documentation, and unit testing.
• Support system upgrades, migrations (e.g., BW to BW/4HANA), and integration with frontend tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud, BO, or Power BI.
• Follow change management and quality assurance processes.
