Job Description

Performance Testing experience (Planning, Modeling, Scripting, Testing, Monitoring, Results Analysis, Results Documentation and Communication) LoadRunner / Performance Center experience Solid Understanding of basic performance metrics: TPS, RT, Memory, GC, CPU. IO

Desired Candidate Profile

Strong understanding of performance best practices including JVM settings
Network Variability impact on Performance of distributed systems
Ability to lead performance optimization efforts with a strong command of complex performance issues and the ability to direct component owners (network, database, appdev, server OS/WAS, storage, etc.)
Participate in performance test requirements reviews for large scale critical efforts
Leverage profiling tools (i.e. Dynatrace & AppDynamics) to analyze and define performance characteristics of an application, recommend enhancements, and trouble shoot bottlenecks.
Performance trouble shooting (heap dump & thread dump analysis)
Performance results preparation and presentation for large efforts
Proficient in the following tools
Dynatrace
LoadRunner/Performance Center
Splunk

Bonus Points If You Have

Strong monitoring and Performance issues triaging experience with tools like (AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Splunk, Introscope)
Experience evaluating and diagnosing system health and welfare (and issues) via use of Monitoring, APM, Diagnostics, and other performance and monitoring tools
Experience with the creating of Vugen scripts for different Protocols (Web HTTP/HTML, Webservices, Citrix, etc. ).
